Brittney organized and implemented an “Animal Fun Fair” and pet food drive at the Tractor Supply Store in Flanders on June 4.  Attendees enjoyed face painting, crafts and a petting zoo and received information on pet adoption.  The event was not only fun and educational for children and their families, but it generated over 200 pounds of pet food which Brittney donated to the Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter.

Although the completion of her Gold Award signifies the end of her Girl Scout career, Brittney will continue her dedication to volunteering and making a difference as an executive board member of Health and Safety for the Red Cross Youth Council as well as a volunteer for the 4H Youth Program Council.  In the fall, she will resume her studies in Veterinarian Science as a junior at the Morris School of Technology.
