Parsippany's Park Road Field and Playground Has Much to Offer

You'll find two softball fields, bathrooms, newer equipment, hiking, puddle jumping and more.

Turn onto Arlington Road off of Park Road (yes, the one with all the speed “humps”) and you’ll end up at Park Road Field, home to almost all of softball games.

This recreation complex has a great little playground with some challenging climbing equipment, a couple of slides, two sets of swings and the seesaw-replacing arch that you see now at playgrounds.

The green arch has seats on either side.  It’s fairly hard to get it moving up and down, so expect to get a workout if your kids are younger.

There are paved paths that encircle the playing fields. These paths are very popular with local residents for jogging, bike riding and walking their dogs.

Those who live in the neighborhood also know that this is a great place to jump puddles after some good rain.  The paths by the lower field tend to flood, creating a huge puddle close to a dozen feet long and a foot deep. Bring your rain boots!
