Patch Readers Submit Harvest Moon Photos

Here's a look at what Patch readers submitted to Patch last night. If you take some pics tonight, send them to Patch

Wednesday night’s sky was a bit brighter than most. The Harvest Moon, or Corn Moon, made its way though the sky late Wednesday into early Thursday.

The Harvest Moon is the final full moon before the fall equinox and in this case, came just a few days before the official start of autumn. If you missed it last night, don’t worry. Although it will be a fraction short of full, it will still be visible for those in North America on Thursday evening.

Keep in mind, when you go to work Monday morning, the fall season will have begun. This is the last weekend of summer and the forecast is showing sun and temperatures in the mid-high 70s on Friday and Saturday with a 40 percent chance of showers on Sunday. Enjoy your final weekend of summer in 2013.
