Utility Repairs Close Right Lane of Route 46

Early Tuesday morning, Ptlm. Earl Kinsey, Community Relations Officer said in a traffic update that "the left lane of Rt. 46 West is now open and passable between North Beverwyck and Baldwin. Utility repairs will continue in the right lane of travel which remains closed. Expect heavy delays in the area."

As of Tuesday evening, the lane was still closed with police directing traffic.

On Monday afternoon, Kinsey sent out an alert announcing that Route 46 westbound is closed to all traffic between North Beverwyck Road and Baldwin Road. 

"Several poles have snapped and there are live lines and transformers down," said Kinsey, adding that all westbound traffic on 46 will be diverted to either North or South Beverwyck Road.
