'Salute to Our Vets' Event Yields Donations for Fallen Soldiers
Fourteen musical acts highlighted the event and donated their performances to the causes.
Despite grey skies and high temperatures, the first ever "Salute to Our Vets" event hosted by a nonprofit in Parsippany proved successful, according to The Daily Record.
The music festival, held at Veterans Memorial Park July 13 and 14, helped raise $4,000 for the NJ Fallen Soldiers Foundation and Operation Chillout, The Daily Record reported. Fourteen musical acts highlighted the event and donated their performances to the causes.
The organization originally set out to raise $10,000, The Daily Record reported.
