The results are in: Parsippany residents want Whole Foods

I am a 47-year Parsippany resident and a proud member of the Morris County Building & Construction Trades Council, AFL-CIO. I am very proud of the good work my organization does in our community. For example, as you may be aware the Building Trades donated our labor and worked with contractors that donated the supplies that built the Parsippany PAL at absolutely no cost to taxpayers.

As someone who supports bringing jobs into our community, I am very happy to learn of the results of the recent survey shows that 61% of Parsippany residents want the municipal council to vote to approve a zoning change to allow for a new Whole Foods on Route 46.

The facts are clear. The people of Parsippany want a new Whole Foods in town. The people of Parsippany want the tax relief that a new Whole Foods will bring. And, the people of Parsippany want the local jobs that a new Whole Foods will create.

Now, its up to Council President Stanton, Councilman Ferrara, Councilman Carifi, Councilman dePierro and Councilman Nelson to do the right thing and vote “yes” for a new Whole Foods in Parsippany at Tuesday night’s council meeting.
