Temple Beth Am Appoints New President

Sally Glick brings with her a wealth of experience in business and marketing.

Parsippany's  Temple Beth Am congregation voted to accept a new slate for Board of Directors and Trustees. Starting July 1, the congregation's new president is Sally Glick.

Glick's background is in the business world. In 2008, she was named to the list of NJBIZ Best 50 Women in business. She was principal and chief growth strategist at Sobel and Co. in Livingston, giving her experience in communications and branding strategies, areas that will prove useful to the marketing the congregation.  Temple Beth Am hopes to benefit from Glick's deep ties to the NJ business sector.

Nonprofit activities fill Glick's resume as well. Among other jobs, she chairs the Liberty Science Center’s Women’s Leadership Council; serves as board member and chairperson of ACG NJ’s Marketing Committee and fills the same roles for CIANJ’s Business to Business committee.  She is active in the national Association for Accounting Marketing, where she was named marketer of the year. Glick is also a member of the Association for Accounting Marketing Hall of Fame.

But she said one of her proudest moments was successfully concluding Hebrew and religious studies and earning an adult Bat Mitzvah ceremony at Temple Beth Am a few years ago.

Glick replaces Alan D. Sobel, who is credited with playing an instrumental role in the Temple's revitalization over the last two years.
