On Wednesday, the Zoning Board of Adjustment meets for its regular session. Among the items on the agenda is ongoing testimony concerning an application to erect a at 170-180 Troy Road. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.

With the elevated temperatures and blazing sun, this is a good time for people to think about skin cancer. Just in time, the township offers free skin cancer screeings Thursday for residents at the at 1130 Knoll Road in Lake Hiawatha. The event runs from 10 a.m. until noon.

The continues Thursday night with a performance by Street Hassle, which calls itself "yesterday and today's premiere power horn band." The northeast New Jersey outfit will bring its classic rock, pop and Motown sounds to Veterans' Memorial Park on Route 46 Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Best of all, the concert is free.

Finally, roller derby comes to  Saturday when the feisty  against Virginia's Seven Hills squad in what the team calls a "co-ed renegade-rules bloodbath." The rain-or-shine match takes place outdoors at the church at 1675 Route 46. First whistle is at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door and proceeds go toward disaster relief. The 78s ask you to bring a sign for your fave Psycho and to dress up in costume. Prizes will be awarded at halftime for best sign and best outfit.
