Where to Watch the Fourth of July Fireworks in Parsippany

The Fourth of July is almost here, which means celebrating our nation's independence with barbecues, sunshine and fireworks. Here's a rundown of where fireworks displays are in and around Parsippany.

The Parsippany-Troy Hills Recreation Department will hold its annual concert and fireworks display on Thursday, July 4 at Parsippany Hills High School.

A performance by Street Hassle will begin at 7:30 p.m. with fireworks after dark.

A rain date is set for the same time and place on Friday, July 5.

In order to insure the safety and welfare of all in attendance, the following safety measures will be in effect:

  • Alcoholic beverages, coolers, pets, fireworks and bicycles are strictly prohibited at the event. Those individuals found in possession of prohibited property will be ejected from the event and possibly receive a summons.

  • All bags and packages brought to the event may be subject to search by law enforcement.

  • All traffic exiting the event by way of Rita Dr. will exit Rita Dr. to Littleton Rd. (Rt. 202) north bound.

  • All traffic exiting the event from Brooklawn Dr. to Littleton Rd. (Rt. 202) will be directed onto Littleton Rd. (Rt. 202) south bound.

  • Littleton Rd. (Rt. 202) will be closed to all through traffic from Halsey Rd. to Park Rd. in both directions from 9:45 P.M. to 10:30 P.M.

  • Due to the heavy volume of traffic, any vehicles found parked in a normally prohibited area or in a marked emergency prohibited parking zone will be subject to summons and possibly towed and impounded. There will be no parking permitted on Brooklawn Dr. or Rita Dr.

  • Additional parking will be permitted at Littleton School as well as Brooklawn Middle School.

  • The fireworks display will begin shortly after sunset.
