Curtain Rises for Parsippany High's 'Death by Chocolate'

Catch this fall play Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week.

Chocolate can cure a sweet tooth, but takes on a more sinful role in the upcoming Parsippany High School fall play.

Opening night for ‘Death by Chocolate’ is this Thursday at Parsippany High School with a showing on Friday and Saturday, all at 7 p.m. with a 15-minute intermission. Check out the video above of interviews with four seniors in the play.

The play is directed by Ester Musilli, written by Paul Freed and presented by arrangement with Baker’s Plays.

The play “is Paul Freed’s delightfully sarcastic and cynical show that has members of the newly renovated Meadowbrook Health Resort dropping like flies, not the best advertisement for the eve of the grand reopening,” according to Musilli. “It’s up to Manager John Stone to fin the cause and the murderer. Stone finds himself teaming up with amateur sleuth mystery writer Ed Parlor in a wacky race against time. The clues point to a sinister box of chocolates and suspects include all the outlandish characters working for the resort.”

There will be snacks and beverages in the cafeteria.
