Blue Hens to Sing at Saint Peter's

The University of Delaware Chorale, directed by Dr. Paul Head, will be performing a wonderful program of choral music on November 11th at 7pm at Saint Peter's Episcopal Church, 70 Maple Avenue, Morristown, NJ. There is no cost to attend. Songs, sonnets, and psalms by Paşcanu, Mendelssohn, Matsushita, and Lauridsen among others are prepared. Consistent with the rich tradition of music at Saint Peter's, we are pleased to host this elite choir and share their gifts with the community.

The UD CHORALE is among the most highly regarded college choirs in the Eastern United States. In recent years, this award-winning choir has been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York, Verizon Hall in Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center for the Arts, as well as regional and national conventions of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA).  In addition to annual regional tours, the Chorale has traveled extensively with appearances in Scotland, Wales, France, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Spain and China receiving many awards along the way and high acclaim for their musical artistry.

This group of dedicated and talented musicians is under the lively direction of Dr. Paul Head, Department of Music Chair, Director of Choral Studies, and Professor of Music at the University of Delaware. Among his many talents and accomplishments, Dr. Head is an author presenting at workshops and conventions at regional, state, and national levels and is in frequent demand as a clinician/adjudicator for choral festivals and honor choirs throughout the United States.

Several members of the Chorale are local area residents and even one of our own graduates of the Saint Peters Girls' Choir.  Open to all girls in the 2nd-8th grades, the Saint Peter's Girls' Choir provides a rich, deep musical foundation that sets the stage for many future opportunities.
