'Idol's' Tiffany Rios Proceeds to Next Round at Hollywood Week
J.Lo approves after Rios belts out a torch song at Hollywood week.
acquitted herself nicely as a Jersey girl during the kick-off of "American Idol's'' Hollywood Week Thursday night.
She avoided all attempts at humility and restraint.
During the first round of auditions that aired last month, wore a bikini with cardboard stars affixed to her breasts. But she also displayed a big singing voice.

On Thursday night, when it was her turn to sing, Rios stepped forward to announce, "I'm going to be honest. I'm tired of seeing people trying to do what I know I can.''
Then she belted-out a snippet of Etta James' "All I Could Do Was Walk Away'' before judge Randy Jackson held up his hand to cut her off. Rios looked disappointed by the abrupt halt to her performance, but she made it through to the next round.

Jennifer Lopez, who Rios cited as an inspiration during auditions, remained a fan.
"Do you remember her?'' she asked the other judges after Rios returned to the line of performers.
"I like her,'' Lopez added with a chuckle. "She's great."
Rios, who was erroneously introduced on the show as a Morris Plains resident, on Route 53 to sign autographs and chat with fans. The event will benefit Project Ladybug, a charity founded by former "The Housewives of New Jersey'' star Dina Matos to benefit severely ill children.
