Lake Hiawatha Student Honored for Musical Excellence

Talia Wynzel one of a dozen vocalists recognized by area's performing arts center.

So many students from around Morris County are honored for their musical prowess, most of which comes by way of instrumental skills.

But Talia Wynzel, an eighth grader at Central Middle School and resident of Lake Hiawatha, has been recognized by the Mayo Performing Arts Center for her vocal talents.

Wynzel was one of 12 students to receive recognition in the month of April after being nominated by teachers Adam Aguanno and Ester Musilli. Wynzel is a member of her school’s chorus, a strong soprano soloist and section member. She’s also played the leading role in her school’s productions of Annie Jr. and The Little Mermaid Jr. as well as lead roles at the Lamplight Theater.
