Parsippany Artist's Works to be Displayed at Morristown Gallery

The art of a pair of renowned Morris County artists will be on display at Morristown’s .

From April 1 to 30, the work of Parsippany resident Danielle Mick and Madison resident Joan Lamensdorf will be exhibited. Viewing hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. An artist reception will be held on April 12 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mick creates works of art in all media. She is the founder of Lakeside Art Studio in Parsippany, where she teaches art classes to adults and children. She also teaches at The Newark Museum, as well as other area art schools. The style of her work varies, and has been contemporary, traditional and abstract. Her art is inspired by the natural world, featuring sea, sky, and landscapes as well as the lake she lives by. She has won awards in all the major New York art clubs and societies, as well as internationally. She currently is exhibiting one of her paintings, chosen by Ambassador George Krol, at the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, as part of the Federal Art in Embassies Program.

Lamensdorf is an award-winning artist whose paintings are inspired by the effects of light, shadow and atmosphere on scenes around her home in Madison and beyond. Her work challenges the senses, as she experiments with color, texture and light. Her expressive paintings have been featured in numerous solo and group shows in New York and New Jersey and in private collections across the country. She is an officer on the board of the Pastel Society of New Jersey and is featured in Who’s Who in American Art.
