Phyllis Choo's work on string instruments garners county-wide accolade.

One of Parsippany’s finest young musicians was recently recognized at the county level by the Morristown Performing Arts Center, along with several other counterparts from Morris County.

Phyllis Choo, a junior at Parsippany High School, was one of seven students named a Music Student of the Month in February (outstanding string musicians) by the performing arts center.

Choo was nominated by teacher Gregory Dalakian for he work as a cellist and participation in her school pit orchestras. She’s also been a member of the Region Orchestra for the past three years and All-State Orchestra the past two years.
