Parsippany Sophomore a 'Musician of the Month' in Morris County

Lawrence Lin nominated by two teachers, joins seven area students for monthly honor.

Parsippany students keep beating the drum on musical excellence.

Lawrence Lin, a sophomore at Parsippany High School, was recently honored by the Mayo Performing Arts Center as one of March’s students of the month.

A total of eight students from various Morris County towns were selected for their prowess in wind instruments.

Lin was nominated by teachers Gregory Dalakian and Erin Grieder, who said, “Lawrence plays the clarinet and has been first chair in North Jersey Region Band and Region Orchestra the last two years; he’s also made the All-State Band.”

The group of Morris County students was recognized at the Center prior to a March 9 performance by the Hanover Wind Symphony. Other students nominated were from Rockaway, Randolph, Mendham, Morris Plains and Florham Park.
