The soprano, on her second release, performs with cellist Adrian Daurov.

Parsippany has a new recording artist in town.

Inna Serebro-Litvak, known for her soaring soprano and musical stylings through her work as Congregation Temple Beth Am's cantor, has a sophisticated and uplifting new CD release for fans of liturgical sounds.

"The Sound of Prayer" presents worship music covering the 19th century through the present day.

"It's not just a performance, but a way to express myself in prayer through the sound of music," the woman known as Cantor Inna explained. "This CD is a tribute to my people, my religion and to my God.”

The recording features the cantor's soprano against a backdrop provided by cellist Adrian Daurov. Daurov has performed internationally on concert stages like Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic and many others and in settings ranging from classical solo recitals to performances with Alicia Keys, Josh Groban, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Sarah Brightman.

Working with Daurov was "simply inspiring," said Serebro-Litvak.

"The Sound of Prayer" is available through Temple Beth Am's website or at indie music site CDBaby. (Going to CDBaby will allow you to hear preview samples of the album's songs.)

The cantor's first CD release, which features the TBA choir singing High Holy Day music, is also available through the temple’s website.
