Is Your Student Caught Up With Par-Troy's Summer Reading List?

On the list are classics such as To Kill a Mockingbird and Tom Sawyer.

School's starting up on Sept. 9 so the countdown begins for those who have procrastinated. The Parsippany-Troy Hills School has a list of required summer assignments in certain courses.

The selections were made based on the curriculum for these courses. Parents are encouraged to read these selections along with their child or prior to their child's reading the book, according to the district. Parents who have any questions or concerns about summer assignments should contact one of the administrators listed here.

For reading assignments, students may borrow from the public library or buy it. If students can't locate the books, they should call the principal who will help them. When students return to school in September, there will be activities based on the summer reading.
