DOES PARSIPPANY NEED A THIRD POLICE OFFICER ON THE TOWN COUNCIL?

The Parsippany Town Council is made up of five elected members and currently two of them are law enforcement professionals. To their credit Mr. Paul Carifi and Mr. Brian Stanton lend a useful perspective to Council deliberations about a number of issues including  citizen safety and the need to control crime. With that in mind the inevitable question has to be asked as to what additional  value Mr. Valori would bring to the Town Council and the residents of Parsippany if he were to became the third law enforcement official elected to the Council? The question is not meant to  disparage Mr. Valori's experience as a Parsipany police officer but is instead meant to ask whether or not the two currently  contested Council seats should be filled by candidates with more of the  experience and skill sets that will be required to solve the environmental, safety, economic and talent challenges that have to be addressed as soon as the new Council is seated in January. Rarely is more of the same a direction to be taken when a whole lot of different is needed. Electing Mr. Valori will only ensure more of the same.
