Parsippany's Best Pizza: Oh, Really Now?

Wow! You name your new restaurant Parsippany's Best Pizza. My, my my .... Really? That's a pretty big claim. I mean, let's be honest: if you're wrong, that's a pretty big matzoh ball hanging out there. So, I tried the pies at the newest Italian restaurant to open up along the Route 46 corridor of Parsippany, as well as, a number of their other offerings. And, my conclusion is ....

This is the best pizza in Parsippany. Yes, this is only my opinion (OK, and my family's) but THANK GOD! GREAT PIZZA HAS COME TO PARSIPPANY!!! I cannot tell you how long (8 years) I have longed for consistently good pizza to be delivered to our abode and finally it has come to pass. And, not just great pizza. Oh, no. These people do everything as well as it can be done. Bottom line: this is some spectacular Italian food.

Their pizza has both the combination of the perfect texture and thickness of dough along with a cheese combination that is cooked to just that moment of doneness that ensures when it arrives at your home, to still be crispy on the crust side and deliciously chewy and cheesey on the cheese side. In the words of the great food critic, Charles Boyle, "It has perfect 'mouth-feel'." That first bite lets your mouth the experience the crunch below and the smooth creamy stretchiness of the above that will have you devouring every slice in the box.

Pasta dishes? Let me tell you about their Cheese Ravioli in Vodka Sauce. Ravioli that are puffy little pockets of pasta perfection. A vodka sauce that is so thick and smooth it's almost a rosa bechamel. I barely left any for the child that had ordered it.

And, speaking of Parsippany's Best Pizza's vodka sauce, not only can you get it on their pasta, you can find it on their amazing Chicken Ala Vodka Parm Sandwich. Yes. Vodka sauce on a sammie. Why didn't anyone think of this before!!??!! A crispy chicken cutlen covered in this amazing pink sauce and melted fresh mozzarella cheese.

And, speaking of sandwiches, I saved the best for last. Drumroll, please. Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce you to .... The Fat Bastard.

The Fat Bastard. Cheesesteak, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, chicken cutlet, french fries and mayo. Yes. That is what comes IN THE SANDWICH! Not on the side. Oh, no, my saliva-moistened amigos y amigas. That is all contained within what could quite possibly be the greatest combination of tastes and textures ever to be placed within bread. Also, have it with an order of Heights Fries, which come covered with mozzarella and American cheese, bacon and gravy. Absolutely deadly but oh so delectable.

Oh, the bread. That is the secret weapon of Parsippany's Best Pizza. Their bread is baked brown beauty. Whether it's the small rolls you get on the side with your pasta dinner or the giant 12 inch roll that your sandwich of choice comes on, their bread is a work of artisanal artistry.

Their menu offers so many selections, I didn't even touch the tip of this incredible Italian iceberg. Located in the Arlington Plaza, they are open 7 days a week from 11am to 10pm. For now, if you are lucky enough to live in  Parsippany, Lake Hiawatha or Mountain Lakes, you are within their delivery area.
