Cheerios Boxes to Feature Parsippany ShopRite Employees

Two Parsippany ShopRite employees will be featured on a special-edition Cheerios box.

The Route 46 store selected Ryan Emerson and Donald Heyner, both of Parsippany, to be featured on 125,000 special-edition boxes for their store’s commitment to the ShopRite Partners in Caring Annual Cheerios Contest.

The contest, sponsored by ShopRite and General Mills, launched in six states last September to help the hungry in local communities. ShopRite associates collected donations at check-out and held various events, raising $1.24 million to support regional food banks in communities served by ShopRite stores.

Each of the winning stores was awarded with the selection of two associates to be featured on a special-edition Cheerios box. These customized boxes, sold exclusively at ShopRite, will be unveiled at in-store celebrations this month.

Parsippany's box will be revealed during a ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the store's location at 806 Route 46.

Each winning store was also awarded funds ($3,000 for the top 5 stores, and $500 for the remaining winning stores), that will be presented to local food pantries chosen by their store team.
