Eco-Friendly ORACLE Training Center Unveiled

Planned Companies holds ribbon-cutting for new state-of-the-art real estate educational facility.

Mayor James Barberio helped cut the ribbon for a new state-of-the-art real estate training facility created with environmental sustainability in mind. The grand opening festivities for ORACLE was held Thursday morning at Planned Companies' building on Smith Road.

Planned Companies and its parent firm, the Wentworth Group, are behind the new real estate service and professional development center. The environmentally conscious ORACLE facility features 16 workstations, offering hands-on education in a variety of areas important to those working in real estate or property management, such as green cleaning and maintenance, energy conservation and security.

Also included in the center is the Online Learning Management System, a resource database offering access to more than 3,000 Web-based courses. Graceanne Welsh, director of education for the Wentworth Group, said the online classes will be available to hundreds of employees and will cover topics relating to real estate, leadership, customer service and property management.

"About 700 [Wentworth] managers and assistant managers will come through the learning center," Welsh said. "I expect about 1,700 more from Planned Companies."

Planned Companies President Robert Francis said ORACLE's primary goal is "to elevate the real estate industry, management and service; raise the bar on training and education; positively impact asset values and  enhance collective understanding of the better basic building functions to promote education, safety and the overall satisfaction of our tenants and residents."

"The best thing is that it's in Parsippany, where we are building great partnerships," Planned Companies President Robert Francis said. "It's taken more than two years to get to this day, and we are really excited for the future."

Barberio said he is pleased to have this new effort in the township.

"With the opening of this new facility, Planned Companies joins many Parsippany-based businesses that have generated green awareness," he said. "Parsippany has made strides in reducing its carbon footprint and taking very seriously environmental impact and work habits that promote well-being for all employees. That's why the opening of this beautiful training facility means so much to our township."

Also on hand for the ribbon cutting were Parsippany Troy-Hills Town Council members Michael dePierro and Vincent Ferrara and Parsippany Chamber of Commerce President Robert Peluso.
