More Than 40 Hiring Organizations Will Participate at Parsippany Chamber Job Fair

Employment Outreach Program hosting event at Meadow Wood Manor on Wednesday.

More than 40 hiring organizations will be present for job seekers at the Meadow Wood Manor in Randolph on Wednesday.

The Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce’s Employment Outreach Program is hosting its third-annual job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Last year, more than 400 potential job seekers and 38 organizations attended.

“This is still a difficult economy," said chamber executive director Craig Schlosser in a release. "Our all-volunteer committee works exceptional hard to provide this free event. We pride ourselves on a great annual job fair that provides a warm, friendly, positive, and caring environment."

“Employees are one of our most valuable assets in every organization and this important concept is recognized at the Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce through our Employment Outreach Program," said chamber president Robert J. Peluso. "The strength of a company relies upon highly qualified employees, and we have a talented workforce in the Parsippany Area."

The Employment Outreach Program started in 2007, along with the chamber’s student volunteer and future workforce development program called Chamber Connection. Since 2007, the Employment Outreach Program has grown each year. The chamber launched workforce development training seminars in 2008, and in 2009 the job fair was established along with its scholarship program and the chamber employment website.
