ORACLE Center and BOMA New Jersey Celebrate First Group of Graduates

This is the first group of real estate workers to graduate from a course at the new Smith Road training center.

Professional real estate organization BOMA New Jersey has announced its first class of graduates from its BOMA International's Foundations of Real Estate Management course.  The class was taught at Planned Companies' green-friendly O.R.A.C.L.E., a 2,000-square-foot training facility that recently opened its doors in Parsippany.

As part of their training, students used laptop computers to access the new online School of Professional Development, which features lessons by seasoned real estate professionals and contributors to the O.R.A.C.L.E training center. BOMA New Jersey said the curriculum deepened the collective understanding of building functions, improved safety and ensured best practices for many property and facilities management professionals within the Tri-State area.

"We are proud to be a part of such an important initiative and we look forward to working with BOMA and other industry organizations in hosting similar educational programs down the line," said Planned Companies President Robert Francis in a statement.

"These classes were not just about classroom discussions and homework from a book or manual," stated Jared Gavzy, regional director of sales for New York and Connecticut at Planned Companies. "In addition to the extensive reading materials given to each student, there was equal emphasis put on providing practical experience in order to develop the fundamental skills and tools needed to become a property or facility manager."

Graduates of the program received either an RPA (Real Property Administrator) or FMA (Facilities Management Administrator) designation from BOMA International, an independent institute for property and facility management education.
