Par-Troy Firm Takes Stand Against Alleged Embezzler

Scotwork says its former office manager stole more than $140K—and the company wants every penny back.

Parsippany consulting firm Scotwork Inc. is taking its former office manager to court to recoup more than $140,000 she allegedly stole from the company, according to a report on NJ.com.

Last October, Fredon resident Heidi Quint, 41, entered a guilty plea in Superior Court in Morristown to criminal charges including theft and credit card fraud. She was ordered by the judge to pay $124,879 in restitution in monthly installments of $100; $20,000 of the money already has been repaid.

But the sentence isn't enough for Scotwork. So the company, which specializes in teaching negotiating skills and is located at Lanidex Plaza, is suing for the entire amount Quint allegedly embezzled: $140,617, plus punitive damages and lawyer’s fees.
