Par-Troy Jersey Mike's Celebrates 2013 Month of Giving

On March 27, sub shop makes big push to benefit Garden State Boys and Girls Clubs.

The Parsippany Jersey Mike's Subs franchise on Smith Road is giving back again.

The famously philanthropic chain is in the midst of its annual March Month of Giving event, which nationally benefits 86 separate charities.

One of the charities is the Boys and Girls Clubs of New Jersey. Throughout the month of March, individuals can donate to the organization at the Jersey Mike's Subs shop in Parsippany. Customers can donate $1, $3 or $5 using tear-off sheets at the register.

“I would like to extend a personal invitation to come in and enjoy a Jersey Mike’s sub during our Month of Giving in support of one of your local charities,” said Peter Cancro, Jersey Mike’s founder and CEO, who started the company when he was only 17 years old. “The opportunities to give are all around us so we hope this March you will join us to make a difference in someone’s life.”

The shop gives an extra push for the cause March 27. In addition to customer donations, all proceeds for the day will go to the Boys and Girls Club.
