Parsippany Gets a Bright, New Walgreens

Pharmacy chain moves to new digs a stone's throw from its old Route 46 location.

"We've moved."

That's the sign you'll see if you head to the Walgreens Pharmacy you may be accustomed to visiting in Troy Hills Plaza.

If you are a regular Walgreens customer, you probably know that the Parsippany branch of the drug store chain was planning a move just east of its Route 46 site. Well, as of Monday, its new home in the Baldwin Plaza shopping center is open for business.

The new store is bright and airy in contrast to the well-worn old location. Among the improvements are a new pharmacy section that includes a waiting section with chairs, a grocery section complete with cold cases of beverages and perishable food items, easily navigable aisles (finding the magazine section, which was quite a trial in the old store, was a snap) and a drive-thru pharmacy to enable quick prescription pickups.

Manager Scott Santiago said the staff seems to really enjoy the new site, and one cashier agreed.

"I love it!" she exclaimed.
