Parsippany Gets New 7-Eleven

Convenience store franchise has colorful Friday morning grand opening.

There is a new convenience-store offering in central Parsippany. A balloon-filled grand opening took place Friday as Mayor James Barberio participated in a ribbon cutting for a brand-new 7-Eleven. The store is part of the new Shell gas station site on the intersection of Route 46 and New Road.

The festivities included three hours of free coffee, Slurpees, Big Gulps, hot dogs and more. Guests also took part in raffles where owner Waseem Chaudhary awarded a 32-inch flat-screen television to a lucky new customer.

Among those in attendance at the event were Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce President Robert Peluso, members of the Chaudahary family and 7-Eleven officials.
