Patch posed questions to Jonathan and Adam Sackett to get to know Family Martial Arts Center better. This is what they said.

Q: How long did it take to go from idea to first customer?

A:  2.5 years

Q: Why did you start your business locally? 

A: I've worked at Ricciardi Brothers Paint in Parsippany for over five years. I've gotten to know a lot of people who spoke very highly of Parsippany and I knew I wanted my business here.

Q: What do you find the most rewarding about what you do?

A:  Seeing the children and adults striving for knowledge and to learn and to grow in their martial arts study. Also putting smiles on their faces  when they work hard and advance in their belts.

Q: What's the biggest challenge you face in your business today?

A: Getting the word out to potential customers about our business because a lot do not know we exist.

Q: When people think of your business, what sets you apart from others? 

A: Family friendly with outstanding instructors who have been studying since they were children and we always put the student first. We also have the best rates in the area

Q: Where would you like your business to be in five years?  

A:  We would like to grow to over 100 students and be open six days per week.
