Parsippany Real Estate Firm Gains 2 New VPs

NAI James E. Hanson specializes in commercial real estate.

The Parsippany office for real estate company NAI James E. Hanson has two new members of its leadership team. The company announced the hiring of Arthur Hixson and Barry Mayer to serve as vice presidents.

Both men, described as industry veterans, come from the Office Services Group at Grubb & Ellis.

“The addition of Mr. Hixson and Mr. Mayer continues to build on our commitment to become the area’s preeminent commercial real estate firm,” said President William Hanson. “They are very entrenched in the local marketplace, well-respected and will further add to our firm a focused division and specialization of tenant representation in the office arena. Our entire company will benefit from their hiring, and I’m personally grateful they saw the benefits in our firm.”

Hanson said Hixson has been responsible for representing some of the largest transactions and clients in the marketplace including Exxon Research and Engineering in the acquisition of their 900-acre corporate research center in Clinton. He spent 18 years with regional firm Joseph Hilton & Associates and followed that position with one as a senior vice president at The Staubach Company and Jones Lang LaSalle.

Prior to joining Grubb & Ellis in 2011, Mayer was a senior vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle’s New Jersey office, which merged in 2008 with the Staubach Company of New Jersey.  Mayer began his career with Cushman & Wakefield as an account executive responsible for the leasing and managing of a 1.2 million-square-foot corporate business park.

"We look forward to seeing them in action.”
