It’s the season of giving, so if you’re out holiday shopping, grab a toy and swing by the Weichert, Realtors on Route 46. They’ve begun their 35th annual toy drive.
“Everything that’s dropped off here stays in community,” said Ron De Piro, regional chairperson. “We’ve been doing this for 35 years. It’s a worthwhile local charity. It’s something that Jim Weichert had started 35 years ago and the tradition has been carried on.”
They’re open from 8:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on the weekends.
“New unwrapped toys can be dropped off here at the office and they’ll be distributed to local needs. We don’t go outside of the area,” said De Piro. “Weichert does its own (toy distribution).”
