Many people out there either need a job or know someone that needs one.
The Employment Outreach program of the Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting an event on Sept. 30. The program is called ‘Employment Search with the Use of Databases’ – A Workshop for Job Seekers. Targeted toward people in a career transition, the workshop is from 10 a.m. – noon and will take place at the Parsippany-Troy Hills Free Public Library.
The event is free but registration is required because there are only 30 spots. RSVP at this website.
“Employees are one of our most valuable assets in every organization. We recognize this fundamental concept and promote the Parsippany Area’s talented workforce though the Chamber's Employment Outreach Program. Educated and skilled employees drive the economic success of our community in addition to retaining, expanding, and attracting businesses to create opportunities in the Parsippany Area. We encourage you to join the Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce because with your support, we will continue to create success stories,” said Chamber President Robert J. Peluso.
The workshop includes a Q&A with Neil Cooper and a networking session.
“In this workshop you will learn how to use Reference USA, a powerful database of companies and industries in the US that the library provides to cardholders,” said the chamber. “Through the NJ Dept. of Labor you will learn how to improve your job search through Jobs4Jersey.com.”
