Integrity House Opens New Residential Recovery Facility in Newark

40-Bed Residential Recovery House for Men Focuses on Treatment, Recovery and Community Reintegration

NEWARK, NEW JERSEY – Integrity House, a nationally recognized substance abuse treatment agency, announces the opening of 49 Lincoln Park at Integrity House, a new residential recovery facility for men within Integrity House’s Lincoln Park campus in Newark, N.J.  The 49 Lincoln Park building provides transitional housing with intensive, medically-managed drug and alcohol rehabilitation services in a residential environment, providing treatment and recovery services with the goal of helping to eventually integrate the recovering clients back into society.

Creating the Recovery House involved over $800,000 of renovations to Integrity House’s pre-1900’s building at 49 Lincoln Park. Funds for the renovations were provided by state, local and private partners committed to serving the special needs of clients who will live there. Funders of the project include NJ Department of Community Affairs (DCA), NJ Housing Mortgage and Finance Agency, Victoria Foundation, City of Newark Community Development Block Grant, NJ Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services, an anonymous foundation and individual donors.

“The DCA serves as an advocate for the state’s most vulnerable citizens by providing critical resources for the delivery of supportive services,” said DCA Commissioner Richard E. Constable, III.  “We are proud to support Integrity House, which provides a safe and supportive rehabilitative environment for individuals on their way to recovery.”

“The Recovery House at 49 Lincoln Park is a result of the growing need for effective community reintegration that is consistent with best practices in adult substance abuse treatment and recovery services,” said Robert J. Budsock, CEO of Integrity House.  “The reality of today’s adult lifestyle is that effective treatment and recovery go well beyond a mere short-term inpatient stay.  Integrity House’s proven methodologies not only help our clients get back on their feet, they create opportunities for long-term success and sustained recovery.”
