Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Networking to Build Your Personal Safety Net’

The Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce’s Employment Outreach Program continues to assist the public in employment outreach.  An inspiring program for people in career transition and business owners called, ‘Networking to Build Your Personal Safety Net’, will be held on Monday, January 13 from 10:00 a.m. to  12:00 Noon.

Networking is one of the most important activities to enjoy and participate in routinely.  It enriches relationships and connects us to our community. Neil Cooper, a leadership and personal development coaching specializing in career transition, will present a 90-minute interactive workshop.  The workshop is presented to a live audience at Parsippany-Troy Hills Library at 449 Halsey Rd Parsippany.  Advance registration is required at http://parsippanychambernetworking.eventbrite.com/?s=17795805 and space is limited to 60 registrations.

There are fewer traditional, secure, well-paying jobs and a lot more competition for the ones that exist. Employers are hiring more part-timers, consultants, and contractors.  Organizations are hungry for people who are engaged, passionate, creative, and innovative.

In the workshop we will learn about, what networking is; what it means to you; how to network effectively and enjoy it; and how to build your network so it is a positive tool for giving and receiving.  Networking is a meaningful way to make a difference through your career and build your “personal safety net.”

Neil specializes in assisting people who want to learn how to make a difference through their career and live in integrity which means pursuing a career that is in alignment with their personal values and supports their desired lifestyle.  It is executive career coaching with a special emphasis on leadership and personal development.
