3-Vehicle Accident on I-80 in Parsippany Closes Multiple Lanes

The accident happened west of exit 47A and the three drivers were brought to Morristown Medical Center.

An accident on I-80 this morning closed all lanes westbound in Parsippany. 

State police said that the accident happened at 8:49 a.m. and involved a dump truck and tractor trailer. "A small vehicle was involved as well," said police. "

The accident happened west of exit 47A and as time went on, lanes were reopened one by one, according to 511NJ.org. State police said that the right lane opened at 8:59 a.m. and 511NJ.org reported that as of 11:33 a.m., only the left lane was closed causing a 5-10 minute delay.

There was "diesel leaking out of both trucks. All three drivers went to Morristown" Medical Center for minor injuries, said state police, adding that they "got all vehicles out of there" and now the it's just "hazmat cleanup" from the county.
