Where to observe the holiday in the township.

Parsippany area Christmas-related events and services include:

  • Parsippany Presbyterian Church, 1675 Route 46 West, offers its Christmas Eve Candlelight Service takes place Monday, Dec. 24 at 7:30 p.m., followed by an 11 p.m. Candlelight and Communion Service. There will be no service on Christmas Day. For more info, call 973-334-7958.
  • Chinese Christian Church of New Jersey,  232 S. Beverwyck Road, will hold its Christmas Celebration Saturday, Dec. 22 at 6:45 p.m. The program includes the adult and children’s choirs and a skit from the drama team that point to the heart of Christmas. On Sunday, Dec. 23, three worship services are offered in different languages: a Chinese-Mandarin service at 9:45 a.m., a ReGeneration worship service in English at 11:30 a.m. and a Taiwanese service at 2 p.m.
  • United Methodist Church of Parsippany, 903 S. Beverwyck Road, presents a Christmas Cantata and Pageant, Sunday, Dec. 16 at 10:30 a.m.; a special Sunday, Dec. 23 service at 10:30 a.m. featuring the bell choir and a music-focused program; and a candlelight Christmas Eve communion service Monday, Dec. 24 at 7 p.m. For info, call 973-887-4657. 
  • St. Peter the Apostle Church, 179 Baldwin Road, features Christmas Confessions Saturday Dec. 22 from 3-5 p.m. On Christmas Eve, a Children's Mass will be held at 4 p.m., a Christmas Eve Mass in Spanish at 7 p.m. and there will be a 10 p.m. pre-Christmas liturgy. Christmas Day Masses will be celebrated at 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and noon.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will Be on Dec. 24th at 5:00p.m at Parsippany Christian Church on Vail Rd. (across from Lakeview Gdns.)
