Parsippany-Troy Hills Library Earns Best Practices Award

The Parsippany-Troy Hills Public Library Lake Hiawatha Branch was awarded for the Sensory Storytime Program and received a $500 award.

The Parsippany-Troy Hills Public Library was recently honored with a best practices award from New Jersey State Librarian Mary Chute.

Library representatives from all over the state gathered for the New Jersey Library Association Annual Conference on June 5.

The Parsippany-Troy Hills Public Library Lake Hiawatha Branch was awarded for the Sensory Storytime Program and received a $500 award presented by Sharon Rawlins, Youth Services Consultant for the NJ State Library.

“As State Librarian, I am extremely pleased to recognize our Best Practices in Early Literacy Award winners,” said Chute. “I encourage all New Jersey libraries to continue their efforts to provide children and their families with the opportunities to develop and expand their reading skills, thereby helping them on their path to future academic achievement.”
