Town Council, Board of Ed Meetings in the Week Ahead

See what's going on this week in Parsippany-Troy Hills.

The Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Council will kick off the week with a public session on Tuesday, June 11 at 7:30 p.m. at town hall, located at 1001 Parsippany Blvd. An agenda is not yet available.

Recent meetings have been dominated by Town attorney John Inglesino addressing the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office decision not to pursue criminal charges against Mayor James Barberio and associates.

The Council also approved the introduction of Mayor James Barberio's proposed $62 million 2013 municipal budget by a vote of 3-2 at the May 7 meeting.

The Parsippany-Troy Hills Board of Education will meet on Thursday, June, 13 at 7:30 p.m. at Parsippany Hills High School. An agenda is not yet available.

During the meeting on May 9, The Board approved a plan to give 3 percent pay raises to the district's non-union administrative and supervisory personnel at its meeting at Brooklawn Middle School last Thursday.

On Tuesday, June 4, 11 candidates filed petitions to run for the Board of Education in the November election.

There are three seats open for full three-year terms and an unexpired two-year term available on the board.
