PSGMC peer support group for job seekers meets Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Parsippany-Troy Hills Free Public Library at 449 Halsey Road to hear guest speakers well-versed in all facets of career search and development.

The Parsippany Board of Education holds a special meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. to fill its vacant seat. The public is invited to attend. At this session, the board will go over applications, conduct interviews and select its new member. The meeting takes place at the school district's administration building, 292 Parsippany Road.

Peak Performance coach Fred Feldstein will use cutting-edge mind-body techniques to teach students how to let go of past failures and limiting beliefs, allowing new levels of academic success. Do your part to help support the lifesaving work of Parsippany's up-and-coming emergency responders. A Flapjack Fundraiser for the Parsippany Volunteer Ambulance Junior Squad takes place Sunday 8-10 a.m. at Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar, 1057 Route 46, to benefit high schoolers training in the field of emergency medical services. The fundraiser, postponed because of Superstorm Sandy, will help the teen volunteers purchase uniforms and cover education expenses no longer provided through the EMS training fund. The other group, also offered Sunday at 7 p.m., is called Puzzle Pieces - A Divorced/Separated Support Group. This one is secular and has a fee—just a dollar—and takes place at the Parsippany Police Athletic League Center at 33 Baldwin Road.
