Joseph S. Weisberg, former mayor of Parsippany, is also supporting Barberio, saying that "there are negative claims about the performance of our administration in Parsippany.  For the most part they are made by disgruntled individuals  trying to discredit a mayor who spent near 24 hour days working to overcome the damage done by Sandy and other natural events the last few years.  He, and our town workers, performed heroically on our behalf throughout it all.  You should discredit the writers of the trash they produce. The facts are that our taxes have not increased, debt service was contained and the quality of life remains high."

He poses three questions:
  • Are our taxes among the bottom third in the county?
  • Did our refuse get picked up quickly and efficiently?
  • Was snow removed quickly so we could get to work and shop?
"If the answers are YES then it is due to the leadership of James R. Barberio. If the answers are YES then you are better off than may others around us in nearby towns. If the answers are YES then vote for experienced leadership in James R. Barberio for mayor," said Weisberg.
