Pro-Gun Control Rally Planning Meeting

Morris County has a new opportunity for residents who want to address the issue of gun violence.

The Morris Area Committee to Reduce Gun Violence is now in operation and looking for participants. The group will hold a planning meeting for anyone interested in helping to organize a peaceful pro-gun control demonstration.

The purpose of this non-partisan group is simple: to enable a large, diverse group of Morris-area residents to plan and carry out activities designed to press our national and state legislators to adopt common sense measures to reduce gun violence.  A peaceful demonstration is planned on the two-month anniversary of the Newtown tragedy, Thursday, Feb. 14. Now it’s time to quickly make that idea a reality.
