Start your seeds!  On Tuesday, March 4, 2014 Macculloch Hall Historical Museum gives 3- 5 year olds and their caregivers an opportunity to plant seeds indoors as we prepare for the New Jersey growing season.  Children learn the stages of plant growth, from seed to plant, and find out why farmers use an almanac.  After a story, we will walk in the garden to observe how the outdoors is changing and preparing for spring.  Children will take their seed starter kits home, with care instructions, to help them watch and wait for their seeds to sproutHabitats High and LowWhich animals build their homes? Which animals live in other animals’ homes?  Children 3 - 5 years old and their caregivers can visit Macculloch Hall Historical Museum on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 to explore these questions as they observe the garden as a habitat.  During the program, children will bring a checklist to the garden to discover if animals can find the food, water, and shelter they need to live in the garden.  After a story, children can make their own book about animal homes to take home. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
