Lecture for paranormal book: Loitering at the Gate to Eternity

An Evening on the Paranormal

Local author Louisa Oakley Green didn’t believe in
the paranormal when she first met her husband, Stephen. But over the course of their 20 years of marriage, she gradually changed from skeptic to believer. Loitering at the Gate to Eternity
contains more than 100 paranormal stories from family, friends and four
professional psychics.

What makes this book so
unusual is that is it written by someone who professes to have no psychic
ability, herself, thus the term “psychic bystander.” Instead, she has used her
background in journalism to faithfully recount the stories of those around her.

The foreword to the book was written by well-known psychic medium and New York Times best-selling author
Concetta Bertoldi, who recently published her fourth book on the subject.

“Whether
or not you believe in psychic phenomena, this book offers some engrossing
insights into the world of clairvoyance, out-of-body experiences and the
peculiar penchant our deceased relatives and friends have for sharing our
burdens and celebrations,” says Green. “Are you a believer? I invite you to
read this book and decide for yourself.”

Louisa
Oakley Green has worked as a newspaper reporter,
public relations manager and creative director. A University of South Carolina
journalism graduate, Green also studied science for medical writing in New
Jersey and traditional astrology in London. Her work and interests maintain a
curiosity-inspired balance between science and mysticism.
