Morris County Historical Society to Hold Vctorian Carnival Family Festival with the Morris Museum

MORRISTOWN,
NJ - The Morris County Historical Society will host its annual Victorian
Carnival Family Festival with the Morris
Museum on Saturday, July 13,
from 11a.m. to 4p.m. The day’s activities at Acorn Hall include Victorian games
such as Hoops and Graces, and croquet, a quilting craft, art lesson, and family
scrap booking activity – all to the sounds of a gem roller organ. Admission
includes a child-friendly tour of Acorn Hall, our 19th-century Victorian house
museum, all activities, and light refreshments. Come make a day of it and see
two great Morristown
museums – the coordinated activities will be fun for children of all ages!



Admission: $6 adults, $5 seniors,
$3 students and children under 12 are free. In the spirit of this joint event,
visitors to Acorn Hall will receive a coupon for $1 off each admission at the Morris Museum.

The Morris
County Historical Society, founded in 1946, is a member-supported, 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. Its headquarters, Acorn
Hall, 68 Morris Avenue
in Morristown,
is an 1853 Italianate Villa mansion open to the public on Wednesdays and

The MCHS receives operating funds from the Morris County
Board of Chosen Freeholders and the New Jersey Historical Commission, and
project grant funding from the New Jersey Cultural Trust, The Morris County
Heritage Commission, and the Morris County Historic Preservation Trust.
