Open Discussion: Is America Showing Signs of Decline

This is an informal discussion of issues brought fourth in "The Unwinding: An Inner History of the New America" by George Packer.

The author profiles Americans dealing with unemployment resulting from the loss of manufacturing; the contest between small business and big-box stores; conscientious public officials v. overpaid appointees with conflicts of interest; and the disillusionment of politically involved public servants in Washington.

Reading the book is optional.  Refreshments will be served.
