Read to a Dog

Our certified therapy dogs are back for another visit! Meet Turner, Rusty, Zoe, Clover, and Janie at Read to a Dog on Saturday, January 4th from 11:00 am to Noon. This program is open to all ages and abilities, both readers and pre-readers, and to residents of Denville and all neighboring communities.

Reading aloud to non-judgmental listeners (like dogs!) boosts confidence and improves reading and recitation skills. Moreover, reading together helps to reinforce letter recognition and vocabulary, and it creates a stronger bond with books. It's also a lot of fun! Don't believe us?
