Temple Beth Am Interfaith Shabbat Service: Celebrating the Life of Martin Luther King

Temple Beth Am in Parsippany, will host its annual Interfaith Shabbat Service celebrating the life of Martin Luther King on Friday, January 17th at 7:30 PM. Rabbi Howard Kosovske and Cantor Inna Serebro-Litvak will lead the service with the participation of interfaith clergy and choirs from around New Jersey. Parsippany Mayor James R. Barberio is also expected to attend.

The choirs singing during the service, in addition to Temple Beth Am’s choir under the direction of Iouri Grichetchkine, will be the Baptist choir from the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens under the direction of Music Minister Charles Brown and the choir of the Parsippany United Methodist Church under the direction of Music Minister Barbara Bradley.

Sharing the Bima with Rabbi Kosovske and Cantor Serebro- Litvak will be Reverend Jeff Edwards, United Methodist Church, Parsippany and Reverend L. Richard Hardy, St. Clement, Pope and Martyr Church, Rockaway. All are invited to attend this special, inspirational event.

Now celebrating our 47th year, Temple Beth Am is a Reform congregation with a diverse membership living throughout Morris County, including the towns of Boonton, Denville, Lake Hiawatha, Mountain Lakes, Montville, Parsippany and Rockaway. We open our doors to adults and youth, singles and couples, Jews-by birth and Jews-by-choice, and interfaith couples.
