Women's Theater Company Presents the Play Master Class

The Women’s Theater Company, a professional theater located in the heart of Morris County in Parsippany, proudly announces the opening show of its twenty-first season, Terrance McNally’s Tony-Award winning play Master Class directed by Barbara Krajkowski, running from September 20-October 6.

Master Class is based on the larger-than-life opera diva, Maria Callas, who later in her career, held master classes at Juilliard in the 1970’s.  In the play, the glamorous, commanding and hysterical Callas teaches a master class and shares her experience in opera and stage with the attendees (the audience).  Three different students Sophie, Tony and Sharon have the opportunity to sing and receive constructive criticism. As each student performs, they become ‘victims’ of Callas’s callousness.  Callas comically and poignantly reminisces about her life on and off the stage, soliloquizing her innermost thoughts, regrets and personal inadequacies.

All Women’s Theater Company performances are Fridays & Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 3 pm.  Tickets are $25, and $20 for seniors.
