Boy Scout Troop 39 in Morris Plains recently honored Ryan Byrne as the troop’s 76th Eagle Scout.
Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America. Joining Byrne in reciting the Eagle Scout Oath at his Court of Honor were Matt Hansen, Troop 39’s 72nd Eagle Scout; Stephane Meunier, Troop 39’s 75th Eagle Scout; Ryan Byrne; Bob Nelson, Assistant Scoutmaster; and Sachin Khadse, Troop 39’s 77th Eagle Scout.
Byrne is a senior at Parsippany Hills High School. For his Eagle project, he created a “missing link” trail to connect two already existing trails in Morris Plains.
Troop 39 meets every Monday at 7:15 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Morris Plains. For more information, visit the troop’s website.
