Hiawatha Pharmacy took over just in time. Baldwin Pharmacy was leaving, merging with Walgreens. The longest wait for meds in town. Sorry, but this town isn't just a "next" kind of a town. We know each other around here. We needed another family owned business who understood that. When it was originally Hiawatha Health Mart, I really didn't think they stood a chance. One day needing a refill and no where else to go, I tried them out. "Them" is Atta, owner and pharmacist. That was in 2009 and I have been with him ever since. Today Hiawatha Pharmacy is located in Foodtown, why this was never thought of before.... Atta may run a small ship, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't have items in stock ( if that happens on a rare occasion, he usually gets it the very next day). I went through a period of no insurance and didn't want to leave Hiawatha Pharmacy for a large named pharmacy where I assumed had cheaper prices. Atta took the time to show me the different prices of several different pharmacies and believe it or not, he was the least expensive. I was relieved, but at this point, with that kind of great customer service which is so very lacking these days, I would have paid a few dollars extra for him to have my business. He has been so helpful with my questions and concerns. He has also delivered my medicine directly to my door when I was either to sick or to busy with a sick baby to go pick it up. Good luck trying to find a pharmacist like him passing through Parsippany-Troys Hills again. Give Atta a try, it took me almost two hours to figure out how to write this post, so that just should show how much I admire him!
